My Plan Will Save $4.8 Million in Taxpayer Dollars
As Michigan's fiscal crisis continues to squeeze our hard-working families and business owners in Wayne County, it's clear that our lawmakers must lead by example and share in the sacrifice. That's why I introduced a plan to save $4.8 million in taxpayer dollars this year by consolidating administrative services in the Michigan House and Senate and modifying employee benefit plans. The reforms, which were passed by the House, will produce those savings for fiscal year 2011 and yield even greater savings in the following years.
